Belgium may be small, but it’s a paradise for cycling. Flat landscapes in the north, rolling hills in the south, riverside paths and forest trails — perfect for a slow travel adventure.
Whether you're a casual cyclist or an enthusiast, biking is one of the best ways to truly experience the country.

1. The Limburg Cycling Paradise
Limburg is Belgium’s most bike-friendly province — with wide, safe paths and creative routes. Ride through the trees in Bosland or even over the water in Bokrijk!
Why go: Smooth rides, nature, and lots of cozy cafés to stop and recharge.
2. Along the Scheldt: Ghent to Antwerp
This scenic route follows the river and takes you through charming villages, green dikes and local markets. A perfect 2-day trip with overnight in a guesthouse along the way.
3. The hills of the Ardennes
Ready for a challenge? Head south for hilly landscapes and dramatic views. The route from La Roche-en-Ardenne to Durbuy is gorgeous and peaceful.
Tip: Rent an electric bike for comfort!
4. Coastal cycling from Knokke to De Panne
Sea breeze, dunes and charming coastal towns. Stop for fresh shrimp croquettes or a glass of white wine with a sea view. Cycling has never felt this stylish.
Why cycling = perfect slow travel
You move just fast enough to see a lot, but slow enough to feel everything. Want help creating a custom cycling trip in Belgium? I’ll gladly map it out for you.
See you soon!
